Eventsquid allows you to offer one or more payment methods for events with chargeable items.
We implemented a few changes recently to better handle event payment business rules. The most notable is the removal of the “Pay Online Later” selection choice that was activated automatically when both Pay Online and at least one Offline payment method was activated for an event.
This would allow a registrant to pay online by credit card post registration even if an offline payment method like Pay by Mail or a custom offline method (e.g., “Invoice”) was chosen.
With the latest changes you can still allow registrants to pay online later but you have more control over when it is offered.
Basic Setup:
Event Builder > Activate & Publish > Activation & Payment
Activating any Offline Payment Method allows a registrant to complete their registration without payment. The manner and timing in which payment is actually collected is defined by you.
If you offer both a Pay Online option (registrants required to pay before registration is completed) and an Offline Payment method, you can define the rules around the Offline Payment Methods
Only Permit Offline Payment. If you would like to disallow registrants from paying ONLINE after they have selected your offline payment method, simply leave "Also allow pay online later option" unchecked.
Allow Option to Pay Online. If you want registrants to optionally pay online (via Pay Now button in a confirmation email or from invoice), simply check "Also allow pay online later option" next to your Offline Payment Method.
