Once you have completed your setup, it's time to turn on registration!
We strongly encourage you to test your registration to ensure everything is working just the way you want it.
TO PUBLISH OR NOT TO PUBLISH?
With any Eventsquid site, once you activate registration it is available to anyone with a link to your registration site whether your site is published or not.
In our sport and hobby sites, we have an event calendar that other sites also subscribe to. In order to have your event display on the calendar, it must be published. To publish, click the globe icon in the builder or click the U to the right of your event in the EVENT DASHBOARD.
TURN REGISTRATION ON / REGISTRATION SETTINGS
In your EVENT BUILDER, you will either see
in the upper right corner, above the section toolset. Clicking on that will bring you to the REGISTRATION SETTINGS page.
Set when your online registration opens and when it closes. You may also allow your registrants to make "Post Registration Changes" up to a specific date. These changes include adding an item to their registration and removing non-chargeable items. They cannot remove registration items they paid for at any time as refund policies vary greatly from event host to event host.
Aside from a single person registering themselves, the system provides other registration options.
Sub-Account Registration is typically used when you have parents registering children (minors) but also can be used for other registrations. This allows one person with an account to register other people who may not have or may not want to use their own email addresses.
Third-Party Registration is typically used to allow one person with an account/email address to register another person with an email address. This will create an account and registration for that third party. The typical scenario here is an assistant registering for their boss or group members.
This section separates the registrations by registrant type (Attendee, Exhibitor, General Tickets). You may test any registration path by clicking the "Test" button.
Activating registration with turn registration on. For sports and hobby sites, using the registration portion will carry a fee (click see rates for details).
Pay Online / Payment Processor
If you did not set up your payment gateway when you created your organization profile, you may do it here. Clicking the green gateway button will allow you to choose from our payment processing partners.
Add Processing Fee
You may have the system add a percent or dollar processing charge to every registration for which online payment is made.
Pay at the Event/Pay by Mail or Wire
This option allows the user to register without paying. It is similar to the "Pay by Mail or Wire" option except that it does not provide the user with information on how to pay before the event (offline).
You may modify the currency in which your pricing is set. We support many currencies. If you don't see the one you need, please send us an email.
