There are a few key ways to capture registrants feedback during or after your event takes place. Take a look below at the key ways to capture registrant data for session feedback, speaker preferences and other use cases.
SURVEYS
Use the Survey Dashboard to create custom, in-depth surveys. Surveys are similar to registration forms - you can create custom prompts with unique input types and conditional logic.
Surveys are distributed using the Communication Center. Ultimately, you can only send surveys to folks that are registered for your event, since the Communication Center only targets event registrants. In other words, you are NOT able to send out a plain URL to just anyone to take an Eventsquid survey - you must use the Communication Center. You may need to consider this before developing your user feedback strategy.
Survey response data can be analyzed right on the Dashboard with our pre-formatted charts; or, the data can be exported into Excel.
AGENDA SLOT RATINGS
Our Agenda utility allows session feedback in 5 customizable categories, on a scale of 1-5 stars. In order to rate a session, the user must be:
- Registered for the event
- Signed into the mobile interface (rating can only be done on mobile)
The names of each category are customizable. There is also a comments section at the bottom, where the user can submit freeform text comments:
As an admin, you can extract rating data from the system with a report. Access the Event Dashboard, then click the reporting icon on the far left side of the event (right next to the Event Builder crane icon). Under the RATING REPORTS section, you have two options:
- Session Rating Detail Report: Gives each individual rating, along with comments
- Session Rating Summary Report: averages numerical ratings by session, excludes comments
Each pre-formatted report can be printed as is, exported into Excel, or emailed to another party:

MOBILE LIVE POLLS
Add quick Live Polls to the mobile interface for instant feedback. All ballots are multiple choice questions - you cannot enable freeform text responses. For more in-depth response data, you may want to consider one of the options mentioned above.
You can limit the number of votes each attendee is entitled to. Ballots can ONLY be accessed through the mobile interface.
Two general types of ballots can be created:
- Person Ballot: the ballot will pre-populate all registrants and speakers as potential voting options
- General Ballot: create a custom question with unique answer choices based on any topic
Once a ballot is created, it can be left closed and opened when ready, then closed when needed. A ballot that has passed can be cleared for reuse.
Ballot results can be analyzed within the Live Voting setup tool inside the MOBILE APP section of the Event Builder.
