The WEBSITE section of the Event Builder allows you to build a full website to advertise your event. Your event page is used to showcase your offerings, speakers, sponsors, and various resources.
The main menu on your event website is fully customizable with Eventsquid's built-in utilities including the Speaker Roster, Agenda, Sponsors, Documents and so much more. The Custom Pages tool allows you to add to this menu by building your own customized subpages.
CREATE A NEW CUSTOM PAGE
Enter the WEBSITE section of the Event Builder, then click the Custom Pages tool on the left. Click the + New Page button in the upper right corner to create your new custom page.
Once created, click EDIT PAGE to open the editor shown below.
NOTE: The Button Name field allows you to rename your custom page.
DESIGN/EDIT YOUR CUSTOM PAGE
Upon navigating to the custom page editor, you will notice that both mobile and desktop have their own separate editing utilities.
Within each editing utility, you will find the editing toolbar. The editing toolbar provides you with a number of formatting options, including:
- EMBEDDING VIDEOS: Embed a video that is hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. To embed a video, click the video icon and enter your video URL.
- EMBEDDING IMAGES: Embed images on your custom page by clicking the image icon and selecting your JPG/PNG file.
WHAT CAN CUSTOM PAGES BE USED FOR?
Given their fully customizable nature, custom pages can be used to showcase any information you desire. Below are some examples of what we see our users creating to get extra value out of the custom pages tool:
- Use custom pages to advertise and sell sponsorship opportunities
- Embed an image of a custom flyer, brochure or agenda
- Build a FAQ page
- Create a more detailed Contact Us or Support page
- For virtual events, build an instructions page on how to pre-install video conferencing software prior to the start of the event
NOTE: Be sure to design both the DESKTOP version and the MOBILE version if you'd like the custom page to be displayed on both desktop and mobile.
PUBLISH YOUR CUSTOM PAGES
After you are finished designing your custom page and your changes have been saved, click the Activate button in the upper right corner of the page to open the Content Activation tool as a pop-up window. Here, you can activate your custom page on the mobile site, desktop site, or both. Simply toggle the activation switch to activate your new custom page.
The Content Activation tool can also be accessed in the WEBSITE section of the Event Builder at any point. Use the Content Activation tool to determine which tabs show and which don't. You can also rename the tabs of your website using this tool. Please visit Website Content for more information.
Once activated in the Content Activation tool, your new custom page will be displayed in the lefthand column on your event website.
